VetScan VS2® Operation
VetScan VS2 has been thoroughly tested at leading veterinary clinics and veterinary medical schools; the VetScan VS2 analyzer represents a technological breakthrough in in-clinic veterinary diagnostic chemistry electrolyte, blood gas and immunoassay instrumentation. Unique advances in microfluidics, dry reagents, and microelectronics have resulted in a system that can deliver quality results comparable to larger and more expensive laboratory analyzers at the point of care. Integrated calibration, quality control, sample integrity alerts, and operator simplicity eliminate the need for specially trained technicians.
VetScan VS2 operation is an easy three-step process
Step 1: Insert Sample
The VetScan VS2 procedure is quick and easy. All the reagents necessary to run a pre-configured test profile are contained in a single-use reagent rotor. Remove the reagent rotor from its foil pouch. Simply transfer 100 µL of whole blood, plasma, or serum into the rotor. There is no sample processing and nothing to measure.
Step 2: Insert Rotor
Insert the reagent rotor into the VetScan VS2 chemistry, electrolytes, immunoassay and blood gas analyzer. Enter patient and operator data as desired. The VS2 provides comprehensive diagnostic information in minutes at the point of care.
Step 3: Read Results
Results are ready for viewing, printing, and downloading on the full color display monitor and will include: Analyzer status, test results, sample integrity alerts, error notification and help instructions. Results can also be transmitted to your computer for record keeping and billing.
