Reagents Needed to Operate the VetScan^® HM5

Abaxis provides environmentally-friendly, cyanide-free VetScan HM5 reagents in a convenient package. The reagent pack includes the following:

• Diluent: Isotonic saline solution is used to dilute whole blood specimens and to rinse the analyzer's fluidic system between analyses.
• Rinse: Used with diluent to prevent salt build-up on aperture.
• Cleaner: Used in the fluidic system cleaning process.
• Lyse: Used to create hemolysate for three-part WBC differential and for total WBC and HGB.
• Lyse2: Used to dilute whole blood and differentially hemolyse white blood cells to separate eosinophil granulocytes from other WBC by volume. Suitable for determining EOS, EOS%, BAS and BAS% parameters.

Controls

Abaxis provides a normal control for our customers to calibrate the instrument. Abaxis also provides high and low level controls when necessary for checking the calibration of the instrument.
