VetScan HM2™ Operation Guide
The VetScan HM2 System consists of a hematology analyzer (with integrated keypad, display and internal printer), keyboard, and reagent pack. A separate, external printer may be connected to the analyzer for printing on standard paper (8 1/2" by 11"). The reagent pack contains: diluent, lysing agent (non-cyanide), detergent, and a rinse solution. To measure a blood sample, the basic steps are very simple:
HM2 operation is an easy three-step process
Step 1: Enter Info
Enter patient information in the measurement screen.
Step 2: Insert Sample
Insert a well-mixed blood sample into the tube adapter and press start.
Step 3: Read Results
The test results and three cellular histograms with parameter values will be displayed in just 2-3 minutes.
The HM2 may be connected to the VetScan VS2 Analyzer. Data from both analyzers can be transmitted to a computer for use with practice management systems.
