VetScan VSpro cartridges are conveniently packaged as a single-use cartridge with a sample well for adding the sample, a micro channel and two optical detection windows. The cartridge contains all the reagents and assay functions required for performing the tests.

How many test results does the VetScan VSpro store?
The VetScan VSpro stores 1000 test results. Test results can be recalled by date, time, patient ID, sample ID or patient name.

Does the blue top tube have to be filled all the way?
Yes. Results are affected by under-filling or over-filling the tube.

Can I use an expired cartridge?
No. It is never advisable to use expired cartridges as the results cannot be guaranteed.

Can the VSpro be used for species other than the ones specified?
No, other species that are not verified for the unit should not be used. However, new species are always in development.

How often are there software upgrades for the VSpro?
Software upgrades are sent out as needed approximately once to twice per year.

Should I turn my unit off when not in use?
Yes, aside from saving energy, turning off can extend the lifetime of the unit.
